Jan. 22nd, 2024 03:44 pmsure, let's make this the first taste of my visual novel that i put on DW, why not. i love being an artist + writer because when i write something funny i can turn over to my xp-pen and hastily scribble it
additional context: she's a spellcaster and her medium of choice is fire, but she's already tuckered out from fighting and can't cast anymore. pray for her. she is an indoor cat, she's not supposed to be out here.

Date: 2024-09-15 06:07 pm (UTC)hehe... glad you enjoyed it! it's supposed to be a little challenging. just like running a real shop, there are some predictable patterns in it but sometimes even when it seems like a sure-fire win, you won't see the wild success you'd like. you'll almost always sell the most potions on days where the monsters are Bloodthirsty, the days where monsters are Aggressive are usually good for sales but can be a toss-up, and if the monsters are Sleepy your probably won't sell much. i've done a bunch of test runs, obvi, and usually within the first week i can build myself up enough to start selling 100 potions every time the monsters are Bloodthirsty, which is the best strategy*. my hard number suggestions based on the underlying math: sell no more than 20 potions on a sleepy day, try to sell 50 to 100 on an aggressive day depending on how lucky you're feeling, and the absolute maximum possible on a bloodthirsty day. it's really all about making sure you can maximize output on the days you're likely to get the most sales. (you should be spending ALL your money at first so that you can turn it into more money.)
it was definitely a lot easier before i added the Realistic Annoyance of never being able to buy supplies in the exact amount you need. (i'm a crafter who runs an Etsy shop... this is my life...)
anyway thanks for playing and thanks for taking the time to tell me about it <3 i'm always honored whenever anyone takes a look!!
*i'm sure someone with a math brain much stronger than mine could figure out some secret statistical thing here for greater success but i have no idea lmao this is just based on how i designed it to work
